So i've been in the dumps lately with all the being broke thing, so like a responsible human, i got a job at a somewhat nearby walmart. and if you dont know what that is, imagine if the Joja store in stardew valley wins and thats where you work.

for me personally, it did what i wanted and lit a fire under my ass to attempt and finish a game ive been developing on and off. also i kinda made myself a new years resolution to finishing a game this year and im hoping i can with this one.

so far the process is really nice and i have the feeling that its entirely in reach to finish and release the game at the end of August. I have an action plan and if i actually hire people to do the content like graphics and hard to program stuff, it should be done.

...so I picked up a hardware project to recharge my batteries. ive been wanting to make a synth/audio type of thing for a a while now.

ive made a basic circuit python thing that has a keyboard matrix using an rp2040 to be a synth and a sample player. but i fear im still too green to make a complete device with components like that myself. also these first attempts were using pcb boards i made that were intended for other purposes.

instead this time, im going to use a raspberry pi zero. i've read some smart people have figured a way to make the pizero behave like a circuitpython (baremetal) device and that sounds cool too.

i hope i can get the wiring done by tonight. (to hype myself up i made a blender model of the case of this and i hope my bro still has that 3d printer!!)

Think its about time to update this whole place, fill out more of the pages. Besides the point, I recently made a re imagining/remake of NES Metroid for PCVR/Meta.

It's funny, when making *something like this* for like metroidvania jams (even 3 month long ones), it always ends in failure. But remaking this (which took me about 3 weeks including the video), maybe because I had a script and fully fleshed out to-do list to get back to.

my fancy pants wordpress site 'lease' is almost up and now im faced with the decision of renewing it or dropping it. i feel a bit bad that my blog will be picking up and moving again. but at the same time, the only traffic i got from all that was a few russian bots peddling their consumer wares.

so im thinking/toying with the idea of coming back to just posting into the void over here. where its slightly cooler 😎 but having tags and all that organization is really nice too...

i'll just handcode for a while and see if thats truly where i want to be.

its that time again for me to update my phone as my old one now cant charge well anymore.

so i bought a motorola stylus and am quite proud of myself for not getting another flagship phone thats like a grand. this one was about $350 and it seems snappy enough AND has a built in stylus.im gud.
